Sailaja graduated in architecture in 2018 and worked at an architecture firm in Bangalore for an year.

She has been a part of a coordination, research and outreach team for the training wing of an NGO – Centre for Sustainable Development again, based out of Bangalore. 

Exploring alternative ways of lifestyle, technology, materials and systems has always been her area of interest. She has been a part of training programs in Earth Construction, Natural Building and sustainable design practices at Auroville.

Having undergone her PDC in early 2020 with Rico Zook as a mentor, she got a taste of working with land and the systems around and  truly enjoys learning about permaculture.

She is an ardent and a meticulous learner and has been assisting Malvikaa on the Design work of the 1000 tree project and Open Shell Design.
